This is my website, and where I like to share my hyperfixations and track things I'm working on. I treat this like an archive or library for stuff I enjoy. You'll find my electronics projects, programming woes, my game reviews, and more! I have a huge variety of hobbies and juggle most of them all at once. As a result, certain pages here may feel over/under-developed simply because of what my current obsession is. Expect to eventually get lost or run into something that doesn't work quite right. Sorry! :D
About Me (the Archivist/Archivist/Archy)
Hi there. It's the person who coded all the pages here. I guess I'm the webmaster or something akin to that. I use too many internet handles to count, so I suppose you can just call me 'the Archivist' or 'Archivist' or 'Archy' or something along those lines (even if it seems a tad pretentious), since I view Outworld Academics as an archive of cool stuff that I love. It's a labour of love and I just hope somebody gets something out of it too, no matter how small it is. Personality wise, here are a few things to expect:
Don't take anything here too seriously. I am just here to entertain you or at least show you cool or funny things. That's all this is.
I am not a master of English, despite how much I read. I make grammatical errors and typos regularly.
I am often confidently wrong. So much so that there is (coming soon) a dedicated 'Archy is confidently wrong' rant page. Sometimes it's just for the bit. Sometimes, my brain is legitimately just small and I don't think properly or check things dilligently. I'm a human who makes mistakes.
I'm not good at webpage design, nor do I think of myself as a capable artist or a competent coder. Most of my design is 'jack-of-all-trades' level, with a very low level of skill. I pick up skills but very rarely master them. I'm often a person who puts cart before horse, and I try my best to do what I can despite my lack of talent.
I am VERY pro-public domain. I only copyright this website because of A.I.; otherwise, my art and other projects will primarily be public domain because I believe in shared access to stuff. Corporations suck, and the copyright system is a broken way to keep billionaires rich at the expense of the people.
